Connect with Your Past in our Genealogy Library
We are drawn to our family history for many reasons.
It’s natural to want to know about family members who came before us.
Learning about our ancestors helps us understand where we came from and our cultural heritage, giving us a stronger sense of self and belonging. Moreover, family history allows us to keep traditions and stories alive for future generations.
The Henry County Museum’s genealogy library is a treasure trove for family history enthusiasts.
Most of our archival collections are not available online.
If you are using online ancestry services, you’re sure to find that our library can help verify essential details or help find that missing piece of your family history puzzle.
In our genealogy library, located in the museum’s entrance in the Adair Annex, you’ll have access to rare records, gain expert guidance, and discover historical insights to help you understand the world your ancestors lived in.
