The Oldest Two-Story Brick Home In Henry County

Front facade of the Dorman House.

Jerubial Gideon Dorman House

This 1850s Greek Revival home with its Gothic Revival accents is a treasure worth seeing.

Judge Jerubial Gideon Dorman and his wife, Udolpha, lived here with their seven children (one died in infancy).

As a guest in their home, you’ll experience how this active family lived from the latter half of the 19th century to the mid-20th century. Each of its seven rooms, hallways, and stairways offers a glimpse of a bygone era. Many of the pieces are original to the family. You’ll surely want to schedule a tour of this historic home when you visit the Henry County Museum.
